| Cow Country Winners & Live Entertainment at the Irene Village Mall Saturday, 26th January 2008 Cow-Country Live Draw On Saturday morning, 26 January 2006, Irene Village Mall entertained patrons with live music, street theatre and dance at the “Cow Country Live Draw”. Irene Village Mall made history when two lucky entrants became the proud winners of a trip for two to Argentina or India. Ghitte Neethling and William Ian Henderson are the lucky winners who each won a trip for two to their destination of choice to the value of R25000 each and R2500 spending money each as well as R1000 worth of framing from Frantique Framing and Art. The Cow-tivities… The host, award-winning actress and well known speaker, Brumilda van Rensburg, kept everybody entertained as she got participants to moooh on stage for a variety of fun MOO-MOO prizes which included R1000, R500 and R250 Irene Village Mall Plastique, the brand new Irene Village Mall gift card, as well as fantastic vouchers from the shops in Irene Village Mall. Popular all-female trio, La Diva, created live music, from Latin to Swing and Jazz to Pop music, to get everybody in the mooooohd for a fun-filled day. This Jazz based contemporary group, is no stranger to Irene Village Mall as they are often seen by shoppers as part of Irene Village Mall’s “Friday Night Jazz Evenings” in the Piazza. Jean-Pierre du Toit and Chanelle Fernandes, the “South African Gold Champions” (Under 12 age category) in Latin American and Ballroom Dancing, mesmerized the audience with their Cha-Cha & Latin American Dancing like few adults can dance. Some lucky children also spotted Irene “the cow” who was there to join in the fun & hand out sweeties as usual. A pair of very entertaining mimes had children and parents alike in stitches with their shenanigans around the popular low-level fountain in the piazza. They handed out Irene Village Mall branded lunch boxes, which is one of the Mall’s most sought after give-away items. |
