| Silent Movie Silent Night – Movies & Carols at Irene Village Mall
It’s Christmas time and time for family and friends to enjoy some wholesome good old fashioned fun and entertainment. It’s all happening at Irene Village Mall on Saturday evening the 28th of November in the Piazza! To go back in time and relive that special old time Hollywood magic with the legendary “Laurel & Hardy” silent movies, you have to come to Irene Village Mall’s Silent Movie & Carols Spectacular. The Pretoria Youth Philharmonic Orchestra is all geared up to provide the musical accompaniment for this special event. Once you have recovered from your bouts of laughter, well known entertainer Ghapi, previously lead singer of the popular South African band, Georgia, will join the orchestra and take to the stage as our special guest star and lead you into Irene Village Mall’s “Silent Night” Carols by Candlelight performance. The show starts at 7 pm in the Piazza at Irene Village Mall. Seating will be available but you are welcome to bring your picnic chairs and blankets to lounge around with your family and friends to enjoy this special evening. For your convenience our fabulous restaurants will have delicious snacks and take-aways for sale in the Piazza during the show. Or book your table now at any of our eateries for that special after show dinner. The entire performance will last until 9pm. Since it is that special time of the year which is also a time of sharing and giving, you can bring along any non-perishable foods which we will donate to the Helpende Hande charity organization. Championed and supported by Lindi van Eden of Egoli, this organization assists many destitute communities and your contributions will greatly aid the less fortunate among us during this special time of the year. Lindi is also our special guest who will MC the evening. “Silent Movies Silent Night” at Irene Village Mall is the ideal Festive Season event for the whole family! |
